Experience
I have a full high school education, including four years of each of the following subjects: English Science Social Studies Math Theater French At Wesleyan University, I am currently enrolled in the following courses: Calc I, Part I Elementary Russian I Introduction to Playwriting Plays for Performance My favorite courses from high school are the following: History/Politics of the Modern Middle East Single Variable Calculus Comedy Troupe Bible as Literature (and all other English classes) My SAT Reasoning Test scores are the following: 720 Reading 730 Math 710 Writing My SAT Subject Test scores are the following: 610 French 680 Literature I want to be a tutor because in high school, my tutor helped me overcome several academic hurdles and I want to help other students do the same. I feel that I can help students with research, essay-writing, creative writing, problem solving, SAT prep, and more. I can also assist with time management as I know all too well that "running out of time" is a widespread epidemic in today's student culture. During this past summer, I was a Junior Boys Cabin Counselor at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan. Though the experience was different from that of tutoring, it taught me to be more patient and understanding. I believe that these qualities, matched up with the education I have so far received, will help me to become a great tutor.

Hobbies
I am very well-versed in popular culture, knowing many things about music, theater, film, and television. I am an actor, musician (piano and guitar), writer, slam poet, and rapper. I have participated in all of my high school theater productions and I have performed in six of the eight chorus concerts. In the spring semester of my senior year, I wrote and staged a theatrical work entitled INTERVIEWS WITH BIBLICAL CHARACTERS, which included, among other things, a hip-hop interpretation of the Book of Job. For my playwriting class, I am currently working on a piece tentatively titled DON'T DRINK THE SNAPPLE. It takes place in a Nebraskan Gas & Grocery and reflects on themes such as racism, youth in revolt, America's corporation culture, and the inability to understand World War II and the Holocaust. While here at Wesleyan, I am making sure to participate in slam poetry competitions, open mics, and theater productions. I have performed in some capacity at least once every two weeks since the day I arrived.
