Experience
I studied health science studies at Quinnipiac University before transferring to Central Connecticut State University. I am currently in the process of pursuing degrees in biology and psychology. While I was in high school, I attended general chemistry courses and helped students understand new concepts. I am really passionate about education and I have a strong desire to share my love of learning with my students. I am comfortable tutoring students in a variety of subject areas, including chemistry, biology, algebra, English, and writing. I am also able to tutor students in several Advanced Placement courses, such as chemistry, biology, English language and composition, and English literature and composition. Part of why I love education so much is that I really enjoy being able to help students understand concepts that are often viewed as complex. Science courses are notorious for being difficult, so I feel like I'm really achieving something by helping students understand the concepts related to it. It is possible for students to understand complex subjects, especially if a teacher or tutor can present the information in a way that matches with their strengths as a student. Outside of school, I enjoy orchestral music, choral music, and horseback riding.
