Experience

After thirty-seven years of teaching, I retired in 2007. I have been a middle school math teacher since 1972. About a year into retirement, I realized it just isn't for me. I began a position as a math interventionist, which is still what I do full-time. I am also a financial secretary at my local Lutheran Church. I like being busy. I especially love teaching, which is why I just can't leave it. Now I am looking forward to tutoring new students in math and helping them work through their issues with it. Most of my experience has been with middle school students, but I have some private experience tutoring high school pupils. One of the high school students I tutored was failing pre-calculus and with my help, he passed with a C+! When I am not working or tutoring, I love spending time with my grandson, Joshua. He keeps me busy and is sometimes tough to keep up with. I also enjoy volunteering and reading. Don't let your student fall any further behind in mathematics, I can start helping immediately.
