I have over ten years of experience as a tutor both in the United States and abroad. In addition to maintaining above a 3.5 GPA in all of my undergraduate and graduate classes (3.85 in major subjects), I have taken several courses on pedagogy - philosophical, linguistic, and mathematical. I have also presented my own research at several different academic conferences like the Rice Linguistic Society and the American Astronomical Society. I also am a polyglot with a background in Classical Latin, French, and Arabic. I have worked in a variety of settings, from a traditional classroom (over 100 hours) to overseas! I particularly specialize in helping students overcome test anxiety, get organized, and learn crucial study skills.

Hobbies

I love being outdoors and playing sports, though I have a big weak spot for video games. I love learning new hobbies, so I'm always trying something new! Right now, I'm learning about hobby electronics and I'm trying to get started building furniture. Apart from video games, I love anything that is physical and requires a hands on approach. In my spare time, I am a science writer, and I've been published by numerous reputable publications (ex. Science Magazine). I also love to work on a local organic vegetable farm, and I enjoy eating the literal fruits of my labor!
